Aliyah 17, Hayes

"Im a young teenage girl who is what you’ll call a “tom- boy”

I love being active and so I decided to join my brothers with Thai boxing as I used to do martial arts and found it very enjoyable and helpful. I started it up again to achieve self confidence and the motivation to knock out the stereotype of only guys performing in Thai boxing. In the near future I wish to go to fights where I can show what I’ve learnt and the skills I’ve achieved. Thai boxing is a way of letting out my emotions, to control my mental health and to also gain confidence with who i am. With a loving, motivating trainers I am able to achieve what I want to. They push me to get out of my shell and achieve for the stuff out of my comfort zone. With an amazing Thai boxing coaches and myself motivated to train, i aspire to carry on training as its my hobby I love now."

Vedant 16, Southall

"I began training roughly two years ago as a hobby. At first my physical capabilities let me down as i suffer from asthma and therefore i was unable to take part in intense physical activities and never thought of competing as a fighter. However with the support of my amazing coaches i began pushing myself to limits that i could never reach before. Through my journey i have gained a lot of mental strength which has truly developed my athletic abilities leading me to achieve great things in life.I have been greatly inspired by both the coaches and teammates beside me into aspiring to become a world champion one day."

Louis 15, Shepherd's Bush / London

"My name is Louis, I am 15 years old and I started training with GMMA about a year and a half ago. I remember walking into my first Thai boxing class and immediately being welcomed and introduced by one of the senior students in the class. Since then I have been training regularly and love the atmosphere and positive environment in each and every class. Training with GMMA has allowed me to adopt a much healthier lifestyle and improve my fitness and motivation. I have graded up twice, and competed in three bouts, and plan to keep training with GMMA for years to come. I am looking forward to improving my level of skill as a martial artist, and competing at a higher level, which I believe is very possible with the great team of coaches and fellow students I have around me."
